Earthen Lizard

This picture was taken during a walk through Chapin Forest in Northeast Ohio. Rain had fallen shortly before the walk. The contrast between the dark, wet bark and the deep, green leaves was amazing. I spotted this lizard on a fallen tree.

Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock)

Preikestolen is a massive cliff 604 meters (1982 feet) above Lysefjorden, Norway. It takes you roughly two hours to hike the trail to the top, passing a couple of nice ascents and many, many tourists. And you better cross your fingers that it doesn\'t start raining from one minute to the other!

Bisti Badlands

Taken at sunset in the Bisti Wilderness, New Mexico. This was such a beautiful and fascinating spot we visited in New Mexico. The Bisti Badlands is a \"scenic and colorful expanse of undulating mounds and unusual eroded rocks\" located along highway 371 in quite literally the middle of nowhere. It\'s so far from anywhere that the silence seems absolute and a little eerie. If you ever have a chance to check it out I strongly suggest it.
