Gershwix is an alternative-platinum theme for people who still feel uncomfortable with Aqua gummy controls. This 2.5 is compatible with Tiger and Intel Macs. You need ShapeShifter 2.4 or later.

This guiKit includes original folder icons and 7 color variations: Crimson, French Blue, Ivy, Plum, Poppy, Silver, and Sunny.

I'm a Mac noob so I never got to use any of the older Mac themes. Shapeshifter is a blessing and a curse. I've installed so many themes because they looked good in the preview picture only to find that they required tweaking for one reason or another. Gershwix is the only non-Aqua theme that needed no/none/zero modifications, and I find the pinstripes and simple buttons sophisticated without being flashy. (I especially like the way the buttons in the Mail app don't look like buttons until you cursor over them.)

Call me weird, but I miss the old Apple Platnium theme from OS 8 and 9. Gershwix is a beautiful rejuvination of Platnium. Applpe could have used something like Gershwix instead of Aqua. Don't get me wrong, I love Aqua, it's a great theme, the colors are understated, unlike Luna, but Platnium was great. It had tons of color variations, and was just really neat.

This is really good thing. But I think the best thing would be Platinum for OS X.
But this is really great, I use it and I am very happy with it.

I've been using this theme since 2.3.2 days. Absolutely beautiful and imminently useable without being flashy. Exactly what I want out of a theme. THANK YOU!!
