After about 15 years of traveling and shooting awful photos with an autofocus 35MM camera, we had the opportunity for a trip to New Zealand and Australia this year. I decided to get a bit more serious in my approach. Signed up for an online photo "course", read all kinds of tips and advice, and pulled the trigger to buy a Canon S2I IS. Did some practice shooting, and then signed up for another course for travel writing and began to see an improvement in my photos. Still a long ways to go, but a good beginning. Love countryside scenery, hiking, and people. Would like to also shoot golf but have not yet figured out an a unique perspective for that.
