I took a trip to some of the Lord of the Rings locations in New Zealand and our guide explained to us that this area was chosen to be Ithilien in the movie.

I took this image during a flight over the fjords next to Queenstown, New Zealand. It was a rather lucky shot as there weren't too many reflections from the windshield that had to be removed.

Lake Wakatipu is an inland lake on the South Island of New Zealand. It is famous for its scenic beauty, so it surely doesn't hurt getting out of your car and taking a quick photo to remember the beauty of this unique scenery.

Finally, my first trip to Australia and I'm blown away by the contrasts between a dark red soil, a deep blue sky and the rich fauna. Definitely worth the wait!

This image has been taken on top of the Rigi mountain near Lucerne, Switzerland. It was -20°C (-4°F) plus strong winds that made it feel like -100°C. Of course I thought that my leather gloves would suffice which turned out to be wrong...

I took this image during my trip on the Nile river in Egypt. The burning sun had finally rested and pleased us with this vivid sunset.

I created this composition in Photoshop CS5. I'm out of mountain photographs, so I'll have to take some new ones when I move to Switzerland in August. Swiss Alps night sky HDR, here I come!
