Atop the Sandia Mountain Range in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This snow-layered pine was shaped over the years by the strong mountain winds. Picture taken in the Winter season.

Ah yes, Sandia Mountain, much closer to where I see it every day. Looking west atop above the metropolitan of Albuquerque (5,312 ft) and Pueblo of Sandia in Nuveo (New) Mexico, U.S., it can be reach either Sandia Peak Tramway, the longest aerial tram in the world, and Sandia Mountain Road, at other side of the mountain. This landscape can be found on the rim along summits of Sandia Crest (10,678 ft) and Sandia Peak What you see here is on Hudsonian zones, last and toughest climatic place to be; very windy and cool in the summer. I identified it but you got to be there to pinpoint it ;-)

Wow, I was browsing the wallpapers and glanced at this one and instantly knew it was from the top of the Sandias! Born-and-mostly-raised Albuquerquean :) Great photo!
