Play Kiss

September 23rd, 2008

Even without words what volumes do kisses speak. Its books are written by lovers who've made a pact. "Speak" carefully, for few words are so sweet yet so bitter when broken.

You're work defines the abstract genre pretty well =)
Love the colors and craziness!

I really like it. I'd like to see a version without the mouth...just the eyes. That would be really cool!

Great upload!

It's an interesting piece to look at, but it's a tad cheesy and pretentious. Also, I second taking out the mouth... that unpleasant face doesn't really lend itself to the "kissing" theme. :-)

Doesn't quite work out for me. My main gripe is how the mouth is shoved up there with the eyes, it looks like it overtook her nose area.

I think this would be a great picture if it wasnt for the mouth, the skulls, and that skeleton winged dinosaur.

I like the general overall look, but I agree with taking out the mouth. Also, though the words themselves are generally sort of corny, I like the way they look in the piece as part of the artwork; however, I thought I'd ask about the last line where it says, "don't brake it." Shouldn't that be "break" instead? Just a thought.

I've submitted a revised version and am waiting for it to be implemented. Thanks for some of your "constructive comments".
Your caring is truly appreciated.
Ill make sure to take a closer look next time before posting.

Another great art piece my friend! I work with Jairu and personally every art piece he touches is not only original but stands with true meaning behind it...He has a great sense of converting thoughts, emotions and faith into visual representations...keep it up brother.

michaelvt1: "Every art piece [jairu] touches is not only original but stands with true meaning behind it" * * * Please! Appreciate a thing, but don't blindly slobber over it. The work is interesting, but it's not innovative. "Meaning" only has meaning if it can be translated to the viewer. The original collage was a lot of pretentious textual bunk strewn over a Down Syndrome face. Simply being weird is not enough. Jairu has done far better than this.

brikit: "Meaning" only has meaning if it can be translated to the viewer".....First things first brizkit. If the meaning behind an art piece is misunderstood clearly[here] I can see why you disagree about the context behind it and view it as pretentious and not innovative. Try looking beyond the surface of this piece. Remember this is Abstract and not realism work and an expression of his imagination...so when using the words "down syndrome face" to describe art, you are not only relating it to a sad reality but proving to others not to get hung up so quickly on words ;)Sorry Jairu if appreciating the effort you put into this piece came off in a slobbering way...

First a note to the artist: I love it! It is amazing and has been my wallpaper for quite sometime now. Keep up the great work and I hope to see more from you. To Clint: I would not say what I am about to say if I never read a comment you posted earlier. But since I did, and I just happened to read this comment of yours, I felt the need to (not be rude towards you or your opinion) bring you to realization. First if you do not like the artwork don't put it down in a way where it will hurt the artist...give them constructive criticism. So that way you can start seeing things you want on here. Second, do you remember a couple comments you posted on colors make life better? Well if you forgot here is part of one of your comments "I was not rude and I did not use harsh language like the both of you did. I just expressed my opinion about InterfaceLIFT, that a lot of members share. I did not say anything negative about the creativity of this piece and I would never criticize art publicly." And Clint, I apologize if my grammar or spelling appears incorrect in any way...I'm not a perfect person, I make mistakes...
