Woody Acres

December 25th, 2008

Taken on a cloudy rainy day. The rain left cool colored bark behind.

It is an Awesome shot, but am I missing something here ?
What happened to the good old days when you took a picture and admired the photo for what it was without manipulation ?

Definitely a great photo. As a wallpaper though, for me, the bottom is perfect, but the top is a little too busy with the way the photo was tweaked. By the way, you wouldn't have the colored version posted anywhere would you?

ElectricLizard, with all due respect, a photographer's choice of camera, lens, location, framing, focus, subject, shutter speed, angle, ISO, etc, etc, are all forms of "manipulation"! Drawing the line at finger depression seems a little arbitrary, in my humble opinion. I do believe there is a point where a photo should be left alone, but that could come long after a flash. That said, I would like to see a color version of this submission. I like this shot!

Does anyone know how to save these wallpaper images as jpeg instead of UNTITLED.BMP file as it only allows? It seems like when using the Internet Explorer (IE) won't save the file with it's original name & file extention. Is there a fix for this?

tmobileg, download Mozilla Firefox from www.getfirefox.com. You will thank me when you're done :) Oh and I think I would prefer this photo in colour too.

Little oversharped to me and as some of you I think it would be better in color.

a fix for saving the image just hit F5 or refresh the browser, it should then allow you to save the file in .jpg format :)

and yes it is a great shot, a colour version would be great !!

This picture gets hard to look at after a while with all the texture but the composition and subject are excellent. Again, like everyone else, a colored version and one that's a little less sharp would be nice. By the way, you can contact the Webmaster at InterfaceLIFT and resubmit an improved version of the same photo...if you like.

I see the beauty in this shot and admire the feel you captured in it , it screams Christmas time without being tacky as a wallpaper I wouldn't use it as I don't think its wallpaper material that I like to use . However if this was in an art exhibition I would stop and stare at it and take in the vibe ... very good work !
