hmm, looks like the location, where the opening scenes of Indiana Jones III (last crusade) take place... or am I wrong?

Great Shot anyway! :)

The plane trail bothered me too. Smudged it out in Photoshop.

This is a fantastic "you are there" capture of a wonderful place. Thanks for posting this! Maybe one day I'll get there, but for now this will sit on my desktop making my computer all the cooler.

Yeah, why is the plane's vapor trail staggered?

This truly is a great shot, one of my favorites actually (and it is currently my new background). Unfortunately the other posters marred what I thought was landscape arch perfection by alerting me of the strange vapor trail. I really have no clue how that could be, but other than that great job!

Hi everyone. Thank you for your kind comments. They really made my day. This picture is actually stitched together from several photos using a great program called Hugin. In the seconds that it took me to take the photos, the contrail drifted a bit and so shows up in several places. I took out the offending photo, stitched it again and did my best to make it exactly the same as before except for that fix. If the trail bugs you, as it does me now that I see it, you can find the replacement here: http://sites.google.com/site/archfix/ Thanks again, Ben Dykstra

Ah yes, that is much better. I would not have been able to concentrate with the contrail staggered like that.

I've been to Arches (I live in Utah) and love this and the many other arches there. Most are familiar with Delicate Arch, but I always loved Landscape. Great shot. :)

Oh and Eniac, yes this is where Last Crusade started. Arches National Park near Moab, Utah.

thx AggieMan! Wow, what a great place! Maybe one day that I travel the U.S. again, I'll get a chance to visit it!
