It could be just me, but I don't really see any fractals. Other than that I think its quite artistic and the colors are very appealing. Theres something chaotic about this.

I honestly see nothing fractal about it, forgive me but this could have been done in Photoshop in under 20 minutes. Sorry.

Despite the prior comments its easy on the eyes, fitted well to a desktop layout and has decent lines. Thanks for the post.

I see the fractals just fine. O_o They're easy to make out on the right side.
This makes a fantasmic wallpaper by the way. :]

Nicely done, fractals or not I think this is fairly well made and has good contrast to the black background. Perhaps make the more sparse,as they can overlap and cause the picture to look careless. Nice work though!

Nice work..I can't say it's a masterpiece because it's not so complex as it seems, but I like the chaotic way in wich all colours are scattered on the desktop..It looks like a big rainbow!

It's a colored version of that black fog in the movie,"The Day The Earth Stood Still", at least that's what I see when I look at it. Love it!! It's Like the colors are enveloping you from the left side. Very cool

what!?? lol?? Why all the hate? I'm just being honest. Anyone with 2-3 years Photoshop experience could easily pull this off in 20 minutes! I'm not trying to be a jerk or say it's ugly, I'm just saying this piece isn't as complex as your all making it out to be. There's a number of ways this could be done, multiple cloud layers followed by the color variation filter and saturation increase, pile them up, set a few more translucent than others, done!
What I should have said in my first post was that this person is capable doing better than this, they managed to take a very simple and non complex process and make it halfway appealing to the eye. I would be interested in seeing what else this person can do.

It's definitely a keeper for me. I'd like to see something like that only with more blue (since it's my color). Also one would be nice were the color is all on the bottom 1/2 of the screen to balance it on a vertical scale since I feel a little off balanced with the black area to the left.
But I definitely appreciate the effort that went into this one. I just keep staring at it wondering how many layers it took and how you made some of those shapes. It's so vibrant!

this is a really nice piece. it looks so nice on my desktop. it reminds me of when I was a child and I use to draw colors on a piece of paper with crayons and then draw a black crayon all over it and scratch it out. NICE JOB! :D

Definitely not a fractal in what is the truest sense of the word, but a fractal flame for sure. And a good composition too; love the elemental flow, colour saturation may be a bit intense, chaos is always cool. If I had to guess I'd say it may be two distinct renders merged into one composition. Thumbs up!

Good job...If the sea is fractal then the land if it exists is non fractal? Every fractal is a twist and turn of a non fractal lineral plane of reality...in effect every fractal is a logarithmic dream. This work of art is truly about the meaning of life...

Very nice artwork, kind of reminds me of Final Fantasy titles. Would love to see more of your work. (:

I have been using Photoshop CS3 for over a year now. And while I'm not certain EXACTLY how this was done, I find it very appealing. The use of color is what catches my eye. I do however see certain redundancies. I hope that the uploader isn't too offended by strong critiques. I hope to see more wallpapers. The reason some of us upload, is because a lot of people don't have the slightest idea how photoshop works, or don't have a camera :S

Omg this is soo cool... I know it's fractal sea but I see something completely different. I see a lion that looks kinda like scar from lion king. The lion it's looking to the left, and it's hair is kinda swooping around it and the dark top circle is his eye and his nose jets out and his mouth is just a little bit open! I've asked a bunch of my friends but they don't see it. If you see it please email me at heatha0288@gmail.com
