Tricky situation - wading through the waist-high water (slick stones on the ground) with the camera in my hand - trying not to fall into the water. :D Took with my Tripod and a Hoya ND400. Canon EOS 450D | EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM | Hoya ND400 5 RAW | HDR | ISO 100 | f/7.1 @ 30-2.5s | PS CS4
Latitude: 49°9'57.87"N | Longitude: 9°47'48.46"E

Really nice shot. I like the eerie, misty effect in the water. I am a fan of HDR and find that shoot forests and trees is a bit tricky. Great shot, and well worth the trouble you went to take the image.

I think I can see what Lerch is talking about. Taking a closer look I can see both the over-processing and even some blur in the upper-right corner - granted as minor as it is and considering your precarious position, I think the blur is no big deal. All in all, while this looks great on my 13-inch MacBook, I don't think it'd work as well on my 20-inch desktop.

Wow. This is a really nice one. I couldn't help myself and I instantly saved it!!
Regarding the blur: I'm suspecting that there was a little bit of wind.

Hey Guys,
I know that the quality isn't the best - not an easy shot cuz of merging the shots to an hdr - it was a little bit windy.
@lunasicc Yes :D Me and the Tripod were standing into the water.
The photo here looks a little bit oversharpened - perhaps this version is better: http://emats.deviantart.com/art/Resistance-Wallpaper-134207021
Greetings, Sven :)

We understand that English is not your first language.
It's not mine, either, but I think it would be more appropriate to name the picture "Persistence."
Anyways, it's a really good effort. Thumbs up.

It's not all about the camera you used, and the lenses, and (LOL) the longitude and latitude....Just the shot itself is about 90% of what makes a picture great but this is just some boring swamp, I see these all the time.

This is hardly some boring swamp. These kind of comments should not be allowed in a professional atmosphere.

It's very difficult for me to pick an absolute "favorite" image, especially from a collection like Interfacelift has to offer, but I have to say that this particular photo is undoubtedly my very favorite. Being an artist (musician), I'm prone to mood swings, and am a bit anal about setting the proper image for the proper season (or even the mood I'm in at the time); however, this particular image seems to have found a home on my desktop (on my 27" iMac as well as my Macbook Air AND my iPod Touch almost year-round. There's something about the solitude, the tranquility, the absolute stillness of the moment that you successfully captured in this image that immediately brings a sigh of contentment to me when I look at this photo. Thank you for sharing it; it's a masterpiece.

But perhaps a little too much saturation and contrast?
Beautiful composition nonetheless, I love photos like this.
