I agree with Mac Man. Everything is great with the exception of a lack of crispness.

Is it just me or is the horizon not straight? The calmness unfortunately takes a hit due to that I feel. :/

Well the horizon is pretty much spot on for me. :)

Is your screen at an angle or something? Or is this just imagination in play? ;)

...Or perhaps mine. ;)

Nice shot. The horizon may be a tad off but not by much. I love the colors but something about the rocks is really distracting my eye. They almost look fake (not saying they are they just look kinda strange) Did you do some tone mapping possibly? Maybe multiple exposures merged via layers??

@ KISS: What are you talking about?

I agree with Mr EastTN. The rocks more distant from the margin look like they were embedded, with almost no volume. The colors are great and it is rather a good job.

Kiss: I do not understand what you wrote.

Hi,

Thanks for your comments. This was a 3 exposure gradient blended image.

The horizon isn't *quite* straight - it's about 3 pixels out on a 2560 resolution image, which I didn't notice until I measured it (and my eyesight is generally good enough to be an alternative for a spirit level!). What's probably fooling you is the shape of the landscape from left to right, giving the optical illusion of lack of balance. But that's just the way that nature made that bit of the world!

I love images like this one - the colour blending in the sunset is similar to work I've done before in the past and I never get tired of it. I have a few Washington State sunsets in my gallery on my website (www.tonywhite.com) if anyone's interested...

Too much gradient in the sky.
