Well it's different!

I wouldn't have titled the picture 'bubbles' though, when they're droplets ;)

Not sure I could use this as a backdrop though - icons would disappear into the patterns of the picture, but were it a 2560 resolution image I'd probably have it on rotate for the screensaver...

I was skeptical, but after giving this a shot it actually works quite well as a wallpaper. Looks very clean framed by the thin black boarder of my monitor, (I only have 2 icons on my desktop). It's not a jaw-dropping landscape, but it definitely serves its purpose. Nice one!

Intriguing, yet the shallow depth-of-fields could be disturbing. I will give it a try on a rotating basis. @Tony: correct, these are droplets :-)

Certainly bold and unusual - and in agreement with frozenskyscraper, it works well as a wallpaper on my Mac.

Unique and refreshing really. Great photo. The depth of field kinda hurts my eyes, but that's me, not you. ;)

Good work on this. :)

I wasn't even going to download it, but frozenskyscraper's comment made me do it. :) Yes it is rather refreshing, Don't know how long it will stay, but who knows.. Thanks for sharing Larsss.

So regardless of how wallpaper-worthy it is, are those just water droplets? They seem pretty close together, and I would expect normal water to just combine together into more or less a puddle. Anything added?

i like it.

i don't have icons on my desktop (at all) so it's not a problem for me.

looks great, but they ARE indeed bubbles. those are the really small ones that happen when you put water on a pan, they fill all the surface of the pan before the water starts to boil.

i don't have any icons o my desktop except for things i'm working on at the moment or something i need to remember to finish.

Just to clear things up between everyone with a couple of definitions:
Bubble: A thin, usually spherical or hemispherical film of liquid filled with "AIR" or "GAS"
Droplet: A very small drop of "LIQUID"

Hello, sorry for the late response and wrong naming. I'm from the Netherlands so not that good in English.

My image isn't as great as the landscapes posted here, so I'm glad people like it. :)

The artist was gracious enough to constructively accept criticism of his English in the naming of his piece, nevertheless, the name IS whatever the ARTIST named it! :)
