In Heaven

When I was watching Peter Jackson's new movie, "The lovely bones", I got inspired by one of the many fantastic scenes in it. The wallpaper I created is based on this scene.
Oh, and yes, this is a digital composition! It's fake! Not real!
Adobe Photoshop CS4, the sky is from my "Driftwood" series, and the tree from "Cosmosition".

I like this a little bit but it didn't blow me away like some of your other works. I'm no expert but it seems to lack depth and sharpness and looks a tad pale on the desktop apart from that its good.

While it's a little bright for my liking as a wallpaper, it's an incredible image and an excellent composition. And it definitely does a fine job of representing and reinterpreting your inspiration. In short: mad skills bro.

That is very lovely! I used to make similar digital art with Bryce 4. I'm thinking of picking up Bryce 5 if I can, if not then I'll see what else there is available. I just don't care to spend a ton of time making digital art in other programs like 3DS Max or Maya. Lot's you can do! It just takes a lot of time in comparison to Bryce.

Nice water effect on the bottom mirrored half. Maybe make it a tad stronger and darkened the bottom a tad. The image that you provided for your inspiration had a slightly darkened bottom.

Simply transports you to another world! Amazing work. But can you please make a version without the tree? I feel it looks a little out of place.

Thanks for your compliments! I created a tree-free version and posted it to my wallpaper section on my homepage:
