I prefer city shots without the blur-focus, but i love night city shots and this one is no exception. great job!

Thanks for the comments! I was just browsing and decided to check-up on InterfaceLIFT to see if there were any new wallpapers, and was quite surprised to see my picture on the homepage! I might just submit some more... ;)

I like to see unusual pictures/wallpapers and I appreciate your intention, perhaps capturing a single region and to differentiate from other night shots - which would be great -. But what I can add is saying with sincerity (and I can not say more) is that I can not see in this picture the east side of New York City. Perhaps my weakness is night shots of big cities but this was not good for me. It's only my opinion. Still speaking of cities, architecture, 'Towards St. Paul's' seems interesting. Thanks for posting, spendavis.

Fantastic shot, though I highly dislike the faked tilt-shift effect.
I think it would look much better without it :)

The way those buildings seem to pop out in 3D in this picture really remind me of some type of video game, like a flight simulator. Interesting twist to a standard night cityscape.

Don't like the Blur either. But I really don't think that this is a til-shift shot. I'd rather say f/3.5 is the reason for the blur.

Nice Model ;)
come on people this is a good execution of a specific style of post-processing. If you never look at anything new you will never learn anything.

So, I gather people would like to see the original picture with out the post-processed tilt-shift effect...
I'll add it to the loupe.
Thanks for all your comments too :)

I have added a higher resolution, non tilt-shift version of this picture to the loupe, so please vote for it if you'd like to have it!

I rather like the tilt-shift aspect of it because it's different. Plus it makes my screen seem bigger!

nice photo especially since it's using the kit lens. my opinion on the tilt-shift effect is just that: an opinion.
however, tilt-shift effects usually work better if the area in focus is the subject of the photo rather than just a space.

Bummer! Uploading it to the Loupe doesn't help me, a year later. :D
I really like the image (hey I can see my apartment) but like the others, I think the faked tiltshift is too heavy and really detracts from the image.
Score!
On the artist's deviantart page, he does provide it for download sans TS effect. The resolution is only 1920x1200. See that version too and decide what you think looks better!
Assuming we can post external links, I've never tried:
