Great picture. Lovely colors and composition. I would prefer a little more depth of field though--for macros, f/2.8 is far too shallow.

I know one day they will be heir to our earthly realm, but insects are a bit creepy. Photographically this is an excellent shot but I don't think I'll grace my screen with its hairy presence.

Amazing shot!, nice colours & good sharpness..
I personally like this small field of depth, it really gives a clear focus on the fly's body.
The macro world can be truly amazing :-)

Thank God puppys and kittens can't sit on little flowers. I like insects and flys especially, so thanks for posting! Did you know there is no better flying artist in nature than flies?
