I have to say I am not a fan of this or soccer... Maybe there are people that love this type of stuff but I find composition somewhat awkward and distracting even if I wanted this on my desktop. Just my two cents.

Actually thank God and IFL for the "Loupe" system since I download high quality wallpapers daily. There are some phenomenal content that is available to me with that system. I appreciate the effort of IFL so much. Cheers!

Actually, I voted for this one, although I didn't believe it would seriously make it out of the Loupe. I'm great that it did now, I totally love table soccer and this pic totally catches its vibe for me. So, thanks for sharing!

Why???? lol Anything can get on here these days.

I agree with nick_n.

Ya I'm just going to use the Loupe from now on to find backgrounds because every day there are at least a few that are worthy of becoming a feature before this one...

C'mon guys, give him some credit... Yes, I don't think I would use it as a wallpaper, but still a very interesting photo, it's not a HDR sunset! ;)

I can't remember if I voted for this or not. But given that IFL's Loupe zoom would not have shown much on this one, I might have voted for it just to get a better look at it (I sometimes do that).

It's not to my personal taste. But, I'm very sure that I could not have done better. So, no complaints from me. :)

Sorry, but no - this is simply doesn't serve well as a wallpaper not to mention that it's not even a good photo. It's grainy, uneven and lacks any kind of good composition. I might talk for myself but I've seen really good pictures in the loupe lately and this is clearly not one of them...

@BJBProductions

"C'mon guys, give him some credit..."

I refuse.

"Yes, I don't think I would use it as a wallpaper, but still a very interesting photo, it's not a HDR sunset! ;)"

This is a desktop wallpaper website, not Flickr.

This desktop is total crap. I have absolutely no idea how it managed to get through The Loupe. In fact, I'm willing to bet it didn't.

I'm shocked -- SHOCKED! -- that IFL would dare post a semi-daily photo that fails to conform to my personal tastes.

R.I.P. Interfacelift, 2000-2010. Death by foosball. You were occasionally loved.

@ se7en
Nick may have terrible photos, but they didn't make it past the Loupe..did they?

Haven't downloaded anything off the first page. That's about a week and a half of pictures I have disliked. I used to download all but one on the first page, usually.
Stop making excuses for the Loupe, people...seems every photo now the comments say: Wow this is terrible! Then some one has to defend the Loupe. I'm getting sick of this..

Everyone take a deep breath.....

I often hear people complaining about pictures just being "another sunset" and wanting new and unique stuff, then something like this comes along, and everyone smashes it. I agree, it's not a very good photo at all, but seriously, there's no need to freak out. Support variety.

Naysayers aside, I sort of like this image. Maybe not an image I'd keep for a while but it's a perfect mood-setter during the World Cup timeframe. Maybe it's not the best on IFLift, but it ain't the worst.

If it's not the worst then it is definitely nippy on it's heels because it is so close.

Wow, I can't believe it!, i did it just for fun and wonder what will be your response, and now I feel like I did something wrong by uploading this picture at the Loupe... I feel sorry for you, i don't know if I will upload another pic...
But you still invited to a match of futbolito...
Gracias ;)

Shanzmarkt: There are a few really whiney people on this site, but the majority of people who visit the site don't have the time to comment on every single picture or whine about the ones they don't like. Don't let the few immature people keep you from uploading pictures. So those people have to wait a few more hours until they can download a brand new (free) wallpaper...they'll live. I hope you upload more and ignore any comments from people who forget there will be a new sunset up - probably within a week.

People are making a really big deal out of this, its really not that bad. People like different things, if you dont like it dont use as a wallpaper and wait a day to see if one u like came out of the loupe. Not everyone will like every single pic. People need to lighten up, heres what I'm hearing. "OMG IFL has a few pics that i don't like! The site is dead to me now!". You'll get a new wallpaper the next day to like or dislike, just don't make a scene because tehre are a few pics that you disapprove of.

Here's an suggestion for all the self-righteous whiners on this site: Create your own wallpaper website and post all of your magnificent photographs for the world to enjoy. You might also want to get over yourselves, realize this is a free website you're not being forced to visit, and move on with life.

@shanzmarkt

no no, keep uploading photos. it's not that your pic is really bad, it's just that it's not quite up to par with many of the other photos shown on the front page. it's more a fault of people in the loupe, not your fault at all. keep uploading(:

There's a lot of juvenile comments on here. No one cares for your whining. Post some "insightful" comments/critiques and go on with your life and wait until the next potential wallpaper is uploaded. Until then, keep the whining to yourself.

There are a lot of pics that appear on the front page that I've never seen in the loupe. How does it work again ?

This image is fine..Not to everyone's taste, but fine nonetheless.

I love this! Sure, it's not going to make it onto my desktop but it definitely gave me a good laugh. I was surprised to see so much negativity in the comments.

Thanks

Your photograph was voted for and made it to the frontpage, so obviously the majority likes it. Losers always will cry out loud and try to "take revenge" by insulting the winner. Keep it up and give us the next submission. :-)

I love how if you dislike a wallpaper, you're automatically a whinny loser who's only joy in life is getting high-quality wallpaper from IFL. I personally don't like this, but I'm not going to commit suicide because of it. I'll just take a few seconds to post a comment... because, apparently, that makes me obsessed.

Darn it. I'm away on vacation for two weeks and I missed this entire argument. Oh well.
