love the lens flare, and blues and reflection. Reckon a smaller aperture may have helped keep the stone sharper.
Cheers

A very aptly named image. It looks as if the far side of the lake/pond truly overlooks empty space. This definitely has an etherial quality to it.

love it.

Quite blurry. Almost looks like a photo half the size blown up.

I voted for this shot, I think it's a great photo, despite the fact that joecool55 is right, it isn't very sharp. But sometimes a great photo doesn't have to be extremely sharp to be great!
Thanks for sharing!

I voted for this, but the afore mentioned blur is gonna keep it off my desktop. Serious bummer.

Cool reflections and shot. The other commenters are right though, if this shot was a little sharper it would be on my desktop.

nice shot indeed, unfortunately, not up to my quality standards. i would have lots of nice shots i could submit but i refuse to because i dont like the overall quality..this problem will be fixed however, when i get a new camera.
also that piece of mountain on the right hand side i find to be kind of distracting.

Nice shot, but not wallpaper-worthy.

Pretty picture, but the quality is off, way off. Works well on a small screen.

Thanks for the comments everyone!
I completely agree with everybody's complaint about the blur, sorry guys! It's not up to my standards either.
I chose my lightest and cheapest lens to hike with to save on weight, didn't want to lug my 24-70L around my neck up to 14,500ft ;), so that may or may not have contributed to the low quality. I was quite exhausted from the hike and a little oxygen deprived so who knows what I was thinking when I shot this! ha ha. It looked amazing on that small camera screen though. I still liked the image so much I decided to upload it anyway. : )

Thanks to everyone who voted for it!

Could you go there again and make the same shot but in higher quality? The shot is amazing it should be replaced with the best quality don't you think? Ethereal feeling.

@phaewria

Your asking me to climb Mt. Whitney again to retake this shot? haha : )

Well, if I get another permit an opportunity to go again I'll make sure I redo this shot : ) but I can't promise the same conditions ; )
