First impression of my short-trip to the Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. This is one of the "Allerheiligen-Waterfalls". I love that place. ;)
Canon EOS 450D, Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM, Hoya CPL.
48°31'54.61"N, 8°11'25.32"E

A little tweaking with the Shadow/Highlight adjustment in Photoshop reveals a bit more detail in the shadows.

Hey,
thanks for the Feedback! It's so dark because I wanted that. But you're free to adjust it for personal-use.

Lovely colours and I like the composition of the shot. I understand that the shot needed a long exposure, but I am so tired of moving water that is fuzzy.

@sabern: your edit brings out a little more shadow detail, but flattens the highlights, making the overall effect even darker. I guess I'll try my own edit - in Lightroom, which offers more control than Photoshop.
As for the original picture, the composition is superb. To say you've seen it a million times before is like saying if you've seen one snowflake, you've seen them all - which reveals more about your powers of observation than it does about snowflakes or, in this case, waterfalls.
@emats: thanks for sharing. Your images do tend to have a wide dynamic range. They make me wish I had access to the RAW image file so I could do my own interpretation. That's not a knock on your own editing; I just wonder what else might be available in the image data that's lost in the JPEG versions.
