Well i think this is just a fascinating tree... so i took several photos of it. The day was cold, rainy and uncomfortable. Most people stay at home. But for me it is the best weather to go out an look for some beautiful photo motifs :)
Canon EOS 400D, Sigma 10-20 mm, Adobe Photoshop CS4.

I'm baffled. Stunning picture. The whole universe is there. Splendid. Thanks.

Love the texture of the tree branches with snow, and the overall feeling of the scene.
I would have liked to see more of the road to the right, and more of the top of the tree.

Wonderful capture and a beautiful Image. Looks great on my desktop.
The horizon is not straight though. It looks like the camera was tilted to the left.

I think this is beautiful. One would never think so much could be presented with such limited colours in an image. The bench almost looks like a render it stands out so starkly. The detail in the tree bark and the bare branches really show up against the soft, hazy background.
I agree with theclintbaker in that the horizon would be better straight. I have no doubt at all that the horizon in this image is in fact dropping away to the left but it does not stop me from keeping this and making it my desktop. I have straightened the horizon myself for my wallpaper.
One other thing I removed is what I think is another small tree or bush which shows up on the horizon below the hill, on my 23" 1080 display I thought it was a mark on my screen.

thanks so much for all your feedback. and you are right, the horizont isn´t straight. i don´t know why i didn´t fix it. but nevertheless i think it isn´t too important for the effect of the photo ;)
