Eiffel Tower Sunset

April 13th, 2011

This was my first time seeing the Eiffel Tower. I didn't have a tripod, so I had to rest my camera on a cement wall by the sidewalk.

Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM.

A little different perspective of the venerable Paris landmark.

I thought this image required a bit a sharpening; it seemed soft to me. Also, compositionally it seems a little empty. That's a subjective judgment to be sure, but that's how it struck me.

Great shot! It's hard to lug a tripod around Paris. I like the lighting in this shot. The taillights on the car driving up the ramp are subtle but nice. I like that the Eiffel Tower isn't in the center of the image, too. Nice job.

I absolutely love your photos. I can't wait to see what else you've capture on your trip.

i have to say as a whole you do an EXCELLENT job framing architecture! your space needle photos are great, and this one fits in nicely. many people think just putting the eiffel tower dead center of the image is a good way to frame it, but sometimes off-centering is a better way to capture the feel. the colors are very real, and i can only hope my trip to paris someday looks this great!

were you near the waters edge, or is this photo zoomed/cropped? maybe its just my eye playing stupid tricks, but i feel as if the photo could have been a bit sharper. only nitpicking though this is a 9/10

Very pleasing and different Eiffel Tower shot! This is my favorite piece from your IFL submissions by far. You don't often see water in an Eiffel Tower shot as well. Keep up the good work! =)
