Very nice picture. I would not have known it was a cemetery without the note. I must disagree with the title; it's not sorrowful at all but full of life and light. Picture is going into rotation for sure though. Thank you.

I agree. Calm, peaceful, restful even. But abundant with life - the cycle of life, if you will, which can be sorrowful but is joyful at the same time. Nature is not troubled by ambiguity and contradictions; indeed, she revels in it. Likewise, the untamed growth along the sides of a man-made road provides excellent contrast and testimony to the resilience of nature - particularly in a city like Berlin, which has seen so much of the best and worst that man can do.

In this case I won't quibble with centering the image horizontally. The road traveling toward the light shining through the arch of trees is effective as to composition and for any allegorical meaning one may choose to apply to the image. I good picture, whether photo or painting, encourages the viewer to think and stimulates his imagination.

Well done. Not a nit to pick here. :-)
