Port d'Hercule
May 24th, 2011
Just in time, before the last sunlight disappeared for the night. As Monaco is getting ready for the Grand Prix 2011, I used the chance to climb into the large steel frame construction for the giant screen above the port to get a nice angle for this pic. 5 exposure HDR at f/11. Enjoy!
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 14mm f/2.8L II USM @ f/11.

Beautiful photo! Very surreal. Crisp and calm. The angles are good as well. It's a great marriage of color between the yellows, blues and oranges. Somewhat of a pattern I've noticed you've taken as of late.
It's a bit dark. I love all your photos but like this they follow in suit. Very dark. I want to use them as wallpaper but when I put them on, it's just so dark. Kind of depressing. Maybe when the day is brighter and more alive that would work! It's almost Summer! Time to brighten things up and come alive! Keep on!

I love Hdr and when its done well like this ..I love the total full on feel of the harbour...
nothing to do with the image but this picture highlights the fact that 1% of the population own 80% of the wealth. we have places like this in Monaco and others where people dont even have a bowl of rice to eat ...utter madness :o(
