Place of Zen
By Destin
July 4th, 2011
Taken just after dusk from Lake Samsonvale, Brisbane, Queensland. I spotted these water lilies and thought they would make an ideal foreground. The sky above was amazing too, though even at 16mm it wasn't wide enough to fit the entire scene.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM
, Manfrotto 190XPRO/488RC4.

Absolutely stunning. I agree, this is the best I've seen in a while, with no distracting special effects to detract from the natural beauty.
I'm a crazed nitpicker but I can't find a thing to criticize in this image.

This is very nice to look at good job getting your first piece on IFL. I love the colors, and the sharpness is great!
The lens distortion, on the left especially, is a little distracting. Also, on the right, the dark area seems to be too gray. It may be mist, but it is also a little distracting. Other than my nitpicks it's a very beautiful shot. Thanks Destin..

I can't think of anything, although I'm sure on some technical level a crazed nitpicker could find something... somewhere.
