Times Square

July 27th, 2011

Hey guys, this is a shot of Time Square during one of the prettiest sunsets over New Jersey that I have seen in a while. It was taken from the observation deck of the Empire State Building. Hope you like it! Thanks for looking! :-) Danny

Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM, Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Best cityscape I've seen on this website! ... And anywhere else for that matter :)

Love it! Great sharpening without over sharpening. Also, from your vantage point I think you framed it just right. I mean, a tiny bit could be cropped off from the top or bottom and it still works really good. I'm jealous that you're in New York taking these beautiful shots. I'm surprised we haven't seen your "Bridges..." yet. I know I voted for it it's great!

I would love to see what you can do with Central Park, either from up high looking down, or actually from in the park. I've never been to NY, but it seems that not a lot of people take shots in the park, so I was just wondering how you would capture it with that eye of yours. Just a suggestion. Keep it up!

This is just a fantastic shot, Danny. Thanks for sharing with us. I'm with Gemini on the central park idea. I have been there and I know you'll find plenty of things to shoot. Thanks again!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I really appreciate it.

It's funny that you guys mentioned Central Park. I planned on spending the day there this Saturday or sunday. I planned on walking around and finding a good comp. Let's see what I come up with.

Wow there is a lot of detail in this photo, as seems to always be the case with your work. I'm not usually a fan of this type of cityscape, but this one is quite spectacular in its precision.
