Complex

After planning a trip the day turned out to be rainy early in the morning with perfect silence. This is the most famous pass to the northern areas of Iran near the sea called Chalus.
Nikon D5000, Tamron 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di-II. RAW edited in Adobe Photoshop CS5.

stunning... i really like your composition - it gives a grand sense of scale.
on an unrelated note, why are all the mountains bald?

I always thought Iran was a rather barren and sandy country.
So much bad convictions about the other parts of the world.

Amazing! I thought it's Scotland or something. Too bad it's not going to fit my dual screen, but it's definitely going to my laptop's screen. Thanks!

I like the composition you accomplished with such a "Complex" scene, as the title seems to imply. I love almost all your submissions, but this one doesn't seem to be up to par with many of the others. The slight haloing around the mountains is a bit distracting since the image doesn't have an overall HDR look to it (Which is a good thing as most who do HDR go overboard). This image doesn't seem as sharp as your others either, especially on the bottom right, which I would think would be sharper than the bush that's closer on the bottom left. But mostly it's the green and pink colors in the sky that throw it off for me. Beautiful little valley though! The background mountains and lower clouds are stunning and have great clarity. And I love the different views you bring us from a place not many of us have ever been. Keep it up, because most of your work is top quality and breathtaking. =)
