Fantastic shot, lucky you to be at the front so you could use your wide angle!

Over all a great photo, I wish you had brought the saturation a tiny bit up.

I love the off-angle perspective. Without it this would be yet another somewhat cliche island portrait. With it there is so much added dimension and suggestion of action! In addition the color of the water is wonderful. Perhaps the photo overall could use more saturation...however, great submission.

While crooked horizons normally bother me I agree that it's very effective here and really gave me the sensation that I was flying towards the destination. When i read that this was from a helicopter it seemed all the more fitting.

If it had been me I also would have brought the saturation up substantially more and done a slight levels adjustment to make colour and detail pop a bit more. I might also have used the burn tool a bit on some spots in the clouds that are a bit "high-key". But overall a great shot and I love the composition.
