Storm Clouds

May 28th, 2013

This image was taken in Fort Worth, Texas shortly after the devastating storms hit Oklahoma. I was lucky to capture these magnificent clouds as the Sun was going down.

Adobe Photoshop CS6.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM.

Photo Settings: 35mm, f/11, 1.3 seconds, ISO 400.

The sky and especially the clouds in the upper left corner are awesome! But the clarity effect looks a bit too strong for the city (my opinion). So maybe it would be better to use a brush or a gradient filter for selective processing that only the sky gets more contrast. In general this picture is extremely nice, though. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent shot, the colors, contrast, and definition of the city against the sunset truly make the image "pop" overall. Nice Mammatus clouds as well!

Beautiful shot. I live in Fort Worth and was lucky to see the same formation of clouds that day! Recently, we've experienced all sorts of cloud formations!
