Rising Moon

February 22nd, 2014

Downtown Vancouver under a burning full moon as it was rising, shortly after dusk. Taken from Jericho Beach in Vancouver, February 2014.

This is a combination of one underexposed shot to capture the moon and one long exposure shot for the rest of the scene. I think the outcome captures the magical feel of the actual scene to a good extent.

Samsung NX10.

Photo Settings: 55mm, f/20, 90 seconds, ISO 100.

Absolutely fantastic. This is among the best seen on this site. I love the razor straight shoreline too. Kudos.
