Icarus

March 28th, 2014

A classic look, no doubt. Taken at Byron Bay; Australia's most eastern point looking back across the land "down under" as it is often affectionately dubbed.

The Sun peaked from the clouds just before it set beyond the mountains and turned the doom and gloom into a majestic light show for all to see.

Tripod. There is no Photoshop here.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM.

Photo Settings: 85mm, f/8, 1/400 second, ISO 100.

The scene is perfect, there's nothing to change. Even from the thumbnail you can already tell it's perfect.

However, the poor quality makes for a very grainy result which becomes unpleasant and unfit for wallpaper usage, according to me.

I think it is a great picture considering it hasn't been "photoshopped" at all.
You could however reduce the noise a bit, in my opinion. And yeah it's grainy too, but you can't really change that anymore.
Maybe it's not good enough for a wallpaper, but it is still a decent photo. Thanks for sharing!

for me this makes a great wallpaper. I'd always prefer a great shot over quality issues.
