Eagle's Eye

June 28th, 2014

I took this picture during my visit to Lower Antelope Canyon in Arizona. We arrived there early so we could capture the best light throughout the morning.

This is an HDR consisting of five shots.

Sirui T-025X-C10 Tripod, Adobe Lightroom 5.5, LR/Enfuse Plug-In.

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD.

This is an incredible sight and i'm impressed by your subtle use of HDR. Great job! Can't wait to see antelope canyon for myself someday.

Thanks! I indeed tried to take a subtle approach to HDR, a lot of HDR photo's you come across are overdone to a point where they don't resemble the portrayed scene in any realistic way any more.

It's really something that's almost otherworldly, just be sure you're there a bit early so you can get ahead of the tourists.

Very nice shot - and love the colors. But what are the dozen or so small white circles left of center, and top right, on the image? I see these when I download the 1920x1080 image.

It's some kind of mineral or something on/in the rock. I looked at it too while making the photo. You can also see it on other photo's on the internet, so it's not something with my lens.

This shot is absolutely stunning, I especially like the colors.
It looks awesome on my new (retina) iMac. :-)

Thank you very much for making this shot available to public and keep up the good work!
