Manarola, Cinque Terre - Take II

February 22nd, 2012

As my previous wallpaper... Beautiful Manarola. Luckily I've been back, only this time it was not sunny. Still, amazing. Hope you like it.

Note: I left horizon like that on purpose. Lately I'm tired of straight horizon lines.

Be Bold

February 17th, 2012

While at my family reunion at Priest Lake in Idaho, I found myself hangin' out under the afternoon sun. After having my eyes closed for a bit while listening to some awesome reflective instrumental music, I opened them to find this lone cloud floating effortlessly in an ocean of blue. Couldn't help but smile and admire the scene. Thank goodness I had my camera right next to me!

Ascending over the Sky

February 16th, 2012

This image has been taken on top of the Rigi mountain near Lucerne, Switzerland. It was -20dC (-4dF) plus strong winds that made it feel like -100dC. Of course I thought that my leather gloves would suffice which turned out to be wrong...

Buddha's Fingers

February 15th, 2012

This image was shot last fall in my hometown of Bodø (in the northern part of Norway). It was an overcast day and I was eating dinner with my girlfriend, when we saw that the Sun was grasping from behind some of the clouds. I grabbed my camera and ran out to capture the moment. I have heard this phenomenon being described as "Buddha's Fingers", hence the title of the image. I hope you enjoy!

Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS. Cropped to 16:10 in Apple Aperture.

This park is located in Thornton, Colorado and is definitely one of the coolest parks I've been to. The view is amazing, it completely surrounds you, looking also out towards Denver and DIA. To me, this photo captures the essence of Colorado in the Summer - green grass, blue sky, sunshine, and peace.

Nikon D80, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop CS3.

The Road to Nowhere

February 9th, 2012

When I flew to the the United States I had this kind of picture in my mind. So when I actually got to drive there (Death Valley, California), this was the image that I always wanted to shoot. So I got out of the car with easily over 125 degrees Fahrenheit, kneeled down and shot it. It was hot but certainly worth it!

Canon EOS 60D, Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, circular polarizing filter, Adobe Photoshop CS5.
