Bandon Face Rock
By Robert Bynum
December 8th, 2013
The locally famous "Face Rock" in Bandon, Oregon, USA. Lots of photographers flock to this small coastal town these days. You see ads for tours to Bandon in magazines such as Outdoor Photographer. This small town has changed much from the 1980s when I went to high school there.

Sunset of the Gods
By isaacsloan
December 7th, 2013
I stepped outside of my house last weekend to an amazing sunset during a thunderstorm. I grabbed my gear and ran up on a hill (most of the lightning was in the distance), set my camera on a tripod and focused on the storm just as it started raining on me. I quickly set my shutter speed to 1/3 of a second so as to increase my chances of catching lightning and set my intervalometer to take a shot every second
I spent the next 3 minutes holding my shirt over my camera to protect it from the rain. I think it was worth it.

Cape Arago Crevasse
By Robert Bynum
December 4th, 2013
The headlands at Cape Arago State Park on the Oregon Coast in the United States.
Several large cracks exist in the rocky headlands. At times giant waves crash in and out making the area fairly dangerous. My wife stands watch as I focus on the shot. Waves hit your feet at times.

Racetrack - Star Trails - Death Valley
December 3rd, 2013
The Racetrack (Moving Rocks) - Star Trails - Death Valley
This was shot at The Racetrack in Death Valley. It was a time-lapse for about 3 hours in the late evening. I then combined those images in Photoshop to create this star trail image. The Moon is what is lighting the rock and the foreground.
