A Peaceful Scottish Evening
November 15th, 2009
I shot this picture at Stein, Isle of Skye, Scotland, on march 2009. I used a tripod and ND filter in order to obtain an appropriate exposure time (2.5 seconds at f/22).
Canon EOS 40D, Sigma 10-20mm, ND filter, tripod, Adobe Lightroom.
Laniakea Sunset
By Jordan M.
February 20th, 2010
This image was taken in November of 2008, right after I got into photography. It was taken with my first camera and kit lens.
Just a few days ago, I decided to edit the image so that it actually looked good. This is the result (right off the camera it wasn't too impressive).
Canon Rebel XSi (450D), EF-S 18-55mm kit lens @ 18mm, 1/320sec, f/11, ISO 200. Single JPEG edited using Adobe Photoshop CS4 and some fun filters.

Odonata
By SingExpat
March 25th, 2010
Taken at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, at the rim of a pond in the middle of the gardens. I've been trying to get a macro shot of a dragonfly's face for the past couple of weeks at that pond, but it is tough because they tend to look out on the water, not back toward where I can perch myself. They also fly away if you're not careful. For some reason, perhaps because it had just rained, this particular dragonfly took very little notice of me and let me get a decent shot-- this is perhaps the best I can do with the current equipment I am using.
Canon EOS 1D Mark IV, EF100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM, Canon 1.4 Extender EF 1.4X, Canon Extension Tube EF25 II, f/7.1, 1/160, ISO 4000.
Fort Jefferson
By Tangata Manu
March 30th, 2010
This image was taken while I walked the moat wall surrounding Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas. The fort is magnificent, huge and solid and stamped onto the otherworldly colors of the sky and water. A truly beautiful place.
Nikon D90, Photomatix.

I climbed up above the beach due to the mist and found this very peaceful location.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, EF 24-105mm f/4.0, neutral density filter, Adobe LightRoom 2.
Air Transat vs Storm Cloud
April 21st, 2010
Back in July 2008 I was taking a break from work and went out on the roof of my office building with my camera. Little did I know there would be a huge storm cloud looking East which was almost in the path of airplanes attempting to land.
