The Opal Lake
By Dominic Kamp
August 27th, 2009
Since Barack Obama and his family visited Yellowstone National Park as well, there was just a little too much Secret Service for me and my camera. ;-) So, I decided to continue my photo safari trip to Banff National Park, where I encountered this beautiful, emerald colored lake. Technique: HDRI made using 3 of the 7 exposures (Smart object method) and then processed in PS with Nik Color Efex and curves.

I took this picture of the beautiful Victoria Falls on my recent visit in November 2009. The photo is taken from the Devil's cataract in direction of the Main Falls. The water at that time of the year is at it's lowest compared to the rest of the year. However the green vegetation around, the many thousands of litres of water storming down into the valley and the sound of twittering birds around you makes this a location worth visiting any time of the year.
Canon EOS 40D, Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, ISO 100, 1/125 sec., 17mm, f/10. Post-processing in Adobe Lightroom 2, finishing touches in Adobe Photoshop CS4.

Right Before Winter

I caught this little fellow while visiting Skokloster Castle in Sweden in October 2010. It wasn't at all happy that my dog ran around playing with his toy right under its tree, since it was in business of changing trees. After loudly speaking its mind it decided that my dog opposed no threat, climbed down the tree and skipped over to the neighbouring tree. It stopped for two or three seconds, just to make sure that my dog still was minding his own business, and that's when I managed to capture him here.
Canon EOS 450D with a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II lens and edited in Adobe Photoshop CS3.

View from Breitenstein
By EMK
July 2nd, 2011
This shot is made of 5 HDR images, each made of 7 exposures. When i was hiking up to the "Breitenstein", near "Wendelstein", in the Bavarian Alps, i had to photograph this nice panorama!
I wanted to call it "can you see your hometown", but in the single screen version you cannot see any hometowns, so i called it "View from Breitenstein".
