Misty Yosemite
By scarbrtj
September 8th, 2017
This is the first time I visited Yosemite and thus obviously the first time I saw the famed Tunnel View vista. This is at sunrise, about 5:30 in the morning. The crowds were still thin, and many roads in the park had just been re-opened for the Spring/Summer. I have adjusted the RAW file for exposure and white balance in Photoshop and Light Room, with additional minor tweaks in Exposure X2.
Lightroom, Photoshop, Exposure X2. Sony a7rii, Tamron 15-30mm f/2.8 lens.
Sony Alpha 7R, Tamron SP AF 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical (IF).

The Wanderer At The Campfire
By Dominic Kamp
February 27th, 2018
No matter how dark the night, the bigger the campfire, the more darkness is revealed!
Taken with a Nikon D850 and a Sigma 14mm @ f/1.8 (ISO 400) & 15 seconds exposure. Three individual shots were stitched together in Lightroom CC Classic and then processed in Photoshop CC. Color correction with NIK Color Efex. Finding right spot & preparation took 6h plus editing another 3h. Enjoy and let me know whether you'd like to know more.

The Helix Nebula's Iridescent Glory
February 11th, 2016
Planetary nebulae like the Helix are sculpted late in a Sun-like star's life by a torrential gush of gases escaping from the dying star. They have nothing to do with planet formation, but got their name because they look like planetary disks when viewed through a small telescope. With higher magnification, the classic "donut-hole" in the middle of a planetary nebula can be resolved. Based on the nebula's distance of 650 light-years, its angular size corresponds to a huge ring with a diameter of nearly 3 light-years. That's approximately three-quarters of the distance between our Sun and the nearest star.
The Helix Nebula is a popular target of amateur astronomers and can be seen with binoculars as a ghostly, greenish cloud in the constellation Aquarius. Larger amateur telescopes can resolve the ring-shaped nebula, but only the largest ground-based telescopes can resolve the radial streaks. After careful analysis, astronomers concluded the nebula really isn't a bubble, but is a cylinder that happens to be pointed toward Earth.

Orange Icebergs

July 24th, 2018
Last month I joined my brother and my 70 year old mother for a fishing trip in Alaska. I went focused on being a photographer, and ended up being focused on being a fisherman. I did manage to get some shots off, mostly with my Phantom 4 Pro. Its so exciting to get a perspective that I can't see in front of me. This was taken at Harlequin Lake.

Alcazar Baths in Sevilla
By Bertrand
August 13th, 2017
This is a shot of famous baths Maria de Padilla in Seville, Spain. The baths are located in the magnificent Real Alcazar, one of the most beautiful places in Spain and a good example of typical mudéjar architecture found in southwest Europe.
Processed in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

Sunset from Sutton Bank
July 12th, 2014
This was taken on a recent drive over the North York Moors National Park. One of the finest views in England so it says on a nearby signpost.
I got lucky with my timing and the sunset being as beautiful as it was.
