This image was shot last fall in my hometown of Bodø (in the northern part of Norway). It was an overcast day and I was eating dinner with my girlfriend, when we saw that the Sun was grasping from behind some of the clouds. I grabbed my camera and ran out to capture the moment. I have heard this phenomenon being described as "Buddha's Fingers", hence the title of the image. I hope you enjoy!

While at my family reunion at Priest Lake in Idaho, I found myself hangin' out under the afternoon sun. After having my eyes closed for a bit while listening to some awesome reflective instrumental music, I opened them to find this lone cloud floating effortlessly in an ocean of blue. Couldn't help but smile and admire the scene. Thank goodness I had my camera right next to me!

(Approximately) Laguna Beach, California. The sunset was rather insipid, so I pointed my camera down instead! Taken around dusk with a polarizer to allow visibility through the water into the tide pools.

This is Manarola, my favorite of all the Cinque Terre (5 lands) in Italy. I'm studying in Florence for four months. Missing the summer and ocean, I took a train and spent one day walking among the most beautiful landscapes with my girlfriend. Via del amore (path of love) and a beautiful sunset made this a magical place. One of my favorites on Earth.

Seeing the first light of a wonderful day reflected in a heart-shaped pond makes for a pretty good start. The picture was taken at Milford Sound, Fjordlands, New Zealand, on a chilly autumn morning. For a place that gets roughly 360 rainy days a year, I turned out to be pretty lucky!

Half Moon Bay is located in Turks and Caicos, not far from the most famous island of Providenciales. The beach was created by Hurricane Donna in 1960, and is located next to Little Water Cay - also known as Iguana Island. If you are lucky enough when you visit, you might spot one of the endangered native rock iguanas just off the beach.

I like this HDR image. Especially because of all the wonderful colors. The pictures itself is not 100% sharp, normally a 'no-go'... but it creates a positive effect on this picture. It's like the city is acting in slow motion.

I shot this during a recent 15,000 km drive across the United States. It was taken just off I-84 in the hills above Pendleton, Oregon.
