A composition of two hastily taken shots atop the Empire State Building. We were fortunate to have arrived at the viewing deck during twilight on a beautiful evening in early July 2009. By no means is this my best work but the colours were too exciting and changing too quickly to miss.

On the drive to California I stopped near the border of Utah and Nevada to see the Bonneville Salt Flats, where Bonneville Speedway is located. Several land speed records have been set there, as it's a vast expanse of flat salt ideal for high speeds. I photographed the long road that takes you there.
