Taken at the Top of the Rock, an observation deck at the top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City that is open to the public. Excellent lighting just before sunset on an otherwise cloudy day.

These are the stars over Acadia National Park in Maine. This photo was taken on March 6, 2012. I took 30 second exposures at f/4 and ISO 200 for about 3 hours, then I merged them together using a program called Startrails.

I will always remember standing in front of that impressive kind of landscape which I've never seen before. So far from what I knew but where I wanted to be. These days I got to know what it means to be alone without being lonely - and I've learned to appreciate it! That's what the mountains are for me.
