A couple of people have asked about the camera I use to take these photos. I'm currently using a Nikon Coolpix 5700, a 5.0 megapixel camera with excellent macro support.

This photo I made on my holiday in The Netherlands. This is an little (rebuild) village in Fryslân near the Lauwerszee.

Taken right off US Highway 285 near Fairplay, Colorado. Aspen and the weather were really interesting that day! Three images tone-mapped in Nik HDR Efex Pro.
