An HDR panorama of Edinburgh, Scotland from Calton Hill on a beautiful summer evening. HDR tone-mapping done in Photomatix, edited in Adobe Photoshop CS5 to remove lens flare.
Nikon D5000, AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II lens, Manfrotto tripod.
The road between Queenstown and Glenorchy was shut due to a rock fall, so waiting on the side of the road the clouds started to break as the sun came up. The colors were stunning.
Canon EOS 500D, 18-55IS lens, shot at 18mm. ƒ/8, 1/60s. I added contrast and saturation in Adobe Lightroom 2.
HDR, sorry about that but the sky was worth it. The orange cloud lasted only 2min, then it was a weird blue again. The sky behaves oddly up there. Iceland is such a beautiful place.
This shot is made of 5 HDR images, each made of 7 exposures. When i was hiking up to the "Breitenstein", near "Wendelstein", in the Bavarian Alps, i had to photograph this nice panorama!
I wanted to call it "can you see your hometown", but in the single screen version you cannot see any hometowns, so i called it "View from Breitenstein".
The bridge/viaduct in the picture is the Millau Viaduct in the south of France. It is the current record holder for tallest bridge by structural height (343 meters/1125 feet). When you look at the cars you get a feeling of how big this viaduct actually is. I shot this picture on the way back home from vacation. Had to make a massive detour to see it, but was totally worth it. The picture was shot on the 6th of March, 2011. As you can tell from the picture, it was a very hazy day, but with some Adobe Lightroom 4 magic it became much better.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM. Shot at f/8, 1/1250th, ISO 100.
Dead Vlei is a white clay pan located near the more famous salt pan of Sossusvlei, inside the Namib-Naukluft Park in Namibia. It is surrounded by the highest dunes in the world. this photo was taken at around 8:45AM and the temperature was already unbearable. Enjoy.
Canon EOS 5D Mark II, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, adjustments in Adobe Lightroom 3, stitching and other adjustments in Adobe Photoshop.
This photo was taken at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in the Death Valley National Park - a great sandbox for all the tourists that come here. Nevertheless, at the the end of the day, all that's left of them are their footprints in the sand. So I enjoyed the wonderful colors of the sunset on my own :) By the way, all you can hear in a sand desert is your own breath and the pulse in your ear - very interesting effect...
Canon EOS 600D, Sigma 18-50mm DC OS HSM, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
