Orange in Aqua
By Tiberium
April 24th, 2012
Shot at the Seattle Aquarium. It's quite hard to focus on such a small fish.
Nikon D700, Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 85mm f/1.8G, Apple Aperture 3.2.
Sandbox Sunset
By kopfwiesieb
April 22nd, 2012
This photo was taken at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in the Death Valley National Park - a great sandbox for all the tourists that come here. Nevertheless, at the the end of the day, all that's left of them are their footprints in the sand. So I enjoyed the wonderful colors of the sunset on my own :) By the way, all you can hear in a sand desert is your own breath and the pulse in your ear - very interesting effect...
Canon EOS 600D, Sigma 18-50mm DC OS HSM, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
Soap Bubble Rainbows
March 17th, 2010
This was taken for the photography club at my school. It is green Palmolive dish soap on a cup. The color is natural and comes from the soap refracting the light from the SB-600 flash.
Nikon D90, reversed 35mm f/1.8, SB-600 with umbrella.

An inspiring sunset. Inner Harbor, Baltimore, Maryland.
Nikon D700, Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar T* 2/100 ZF.2
November Moon
By chickenwire
November 12th, 2011
A nearly full, waxing-gibbous phase of the Earth's moon. Shot on November 8th, 2011 from Hanover, New Hampshire.
Cable release and mirror lock-up mode to reduce camera shake. Live-view mode zoomed in 10x for focusing.
10-inch f/6.3 Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope (Meade LX200). Shot at 1600mm, f/6.3, 1/250 second, ISO 200 with a Nikon D700 at prime focus.
Bubblicular

November 13th, 2011
Herein the description lies two full sentences about some soap bubbles against a window pane. The reasoning behind such a mundane capture was sleep deprivation.
Some camera using some lens being held stable by a tripod thingy then pushed through the software hole with some mouseclicks. (Canon EOS Rebel T2i, 100mm macro, 055xprob + frotto rail, natural sunlight, Adobe Photoshop).
Half Moon Bay
By Matt Hanson
November 10th, 2011
Taken in Half Moon Bay, California. I used a series of cheap ND and Graduated ND filters which gave the scene a magenta hue. After correcting the colors in Photoshop, I realized I liked it better the way it was.
Nikon D3100, Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR, ND filters, Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Blood Cells

May 11th, 2010
You wouldn't want that nasty virus hanging out with your blood cells... Inspired by the popular Dual Neuron wallpaper.
I used procedural textures in Cinema4D and turned everything to max!
The Gherkin from Below
By ahmed.hassan
October 17th, 2010
This photo is one of many taken on a recent photo-walk around "The City" (the financial district of London) with my good friend Frank. Formally known as 30 St Mary Axe, this building is a defining feature of London's epic skyline.
Canon EOS Rebel T1i (500D), Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
, UV filter, Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Lightroom 3 Beta.
