Tuscan Sunset

January 1st, 2010

I stayed out during the evening meal time to get a great sunset in Tuscany. Several other drivers pulled off the autostrada on the right. I got here early, and waited on the color and the clouds to develop. I sat in a wheat field for what seemed like forever before I got the perfect shot.

Nikon D300, Nikkor 28mm 2.8, Photomatix, Adobe Photoshop CS4.

Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico

5 exposure HDR. Taken from the new walkway in Chapala, Mexico. I was in Mexico last week for a one week vacation. The weather was colder than normal and it rained several days, but those clouds made for wonderful sunsets. Enjoy all! Thanks for voting!!!

Morning Breaks

July 12th, 2010

The road between Queenstown and Glenorchy was shut due to a rock fall, so waiting on the side of the road the clouds started to break as the sun came up. The colors were stunning.

Canon EOS Rebel T1i (500D), 18-55IS lens, shot at 18mm. f/8, 1/60s. I added contrast and saturation in Adobe Lightroom 2.

Stanford at Sunrise

February 24th, 2010

Panorama taken with my old manual lens. 4 images stitched together. I highly recommend the multi-monitor version. The original picture is very wide and requires 2 monitors to fully appreciate.

Canon EOS 400D, Helios 44-2 (58mm f/2), RAW, 1/80 second, stopped down to around f/11.

A high dynamic range (HDR) panorama of the Dresdner Hofkirche, the Residenzschloss and the Zwinger. It's a part of a 360-panorama that took me twelve hours to create.

View from Breitenstein

By EMK
July 2nd, 2011

This shot is made of 5 HDR images, each made of 7 exposures. When i was hiking up to the "Breitenstein", near "Wendelstein", in the Bavarian Alps, i had to photograph this nice panorama!

I wanted to call it "can you see your hometown", but in the single screen version you cannot see any hometowns, so i called it "View from Breitenstein".

Nikon D700, Nikon AF Nikkor 35-70mm f/2,8.
