Tip to anyone wanting to get this result in a leaf: flatbed scanning won't work because it's reflective. To get all those details you need light to shine through the leaf. Google "DIY light boxes" for photography, that's what I used.
Now here you go with a bit of a different "macro" photo. I got a lot of inspiration last week from old cross-processing techniques and went a bit crazy with my f/1.4 lens and different post-processing approaches. However, I really love this shot as a wallpaper. The bokeh is just amazing and there is still so much detail in the flower despite f/1.8. Hope you enjoy it!

Shot was taken during a September hike just before nearing the summit of Black Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The weather was pleasant during the morning, but a storm quickly rolled in producing a down-pour during the trip back down the mountain. This shot was taken just as the rain started.
