I waited until the Sun disappeared at the horizon when the world saturated in soft blue.

Originally taken in RAW. I increased the color temp and tint to give it a sepia tone. With the sunshine falling down between the clouds, it worked better than just the regular blue sky.

The first rays of the Sun cast a golden glow over the Duluth Ship Canal's north pier on the morning of Thursday, April 29, 2010. I only had about five minutes to get this shot and a few others like it -- a glorious morning on the North Shore of Lake Superior! This picture did not require significant color work -- it really was a wonderful sunrise.

This lighthouse is situated on the southern shore of Kangaroo Island, one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Finally I found another great shot from my Holidays 2010. Waterscape shot in Colonia Sant Jodi in the South of Mallorca. Hope it is a little encouragement for these cloudy days.
