Camp Meeker Waterfall
By Sean Hanlon
March 7th, 2010
I hiked up to this very calm pleasant spot. I had heard of this waterfall but never seen any images of it.

A Fabulous Sunset

June 5th, 2012
This photo was taken about two weeks ago from "Riserva Naturale dei Calanchi di Atri" in Abruzzo, Italy. This particular portion of the territory is known for a very impressive rock formation where you can see particular "calanghi" thousands of years old.

The Seven Sisters
July 18th, 2012
Geirangerfjorden, Norway.
The series of waterfalls to the right is called "The Seven Sisters" and the hike to this view takes several hours and is pretty tough. I was hoping for better weather when we got there but I think the result came out fine nonetheless.

Taken at Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada at the Visitor Center with permission to photograph after park hours. One exposure, during a full moon, light painting by me.

Place of Zen
By Destin
July 4th, 2011
Taken just after dusk from Lake Samsonvale, Brisbane, Queensland. I spotted these water lilies and thought they would make an ideal foreground. The sky above was amazing too, though even at 16mm it wasn't wide enough to fit the entire scene.

Jenner Outlook

April 8th, 2010
I climbed up above the beach due to the mist and found this very peaceful location.

Very Large Array
January 3rd, 2010
The Very Large Array is a space observatory that converts electric signals from space into images, but doesn't really "listen" to space like the movie Contact makes us believe. It is an impressive site to visit! I thought a duotone was appropriate here as the sky was overcast with a haze.

Westland Sunset

October 24th, 2011
Beams of sunset light shining through the coastal hills on the west coast of New Zealand. This shot was taken between Fox and Franz Josef glaciers by the side of the road after a long day of driving. I saw the light in the rear view mirror but couldn't see a good place to frame it. In the end I stopped just before turning the final corner into the mountains and got lucky!

Light and Rain
December 9th, 2009
Driving on Highway 285 South from Santa Fe to Roswell, New Mexico, I had to stop as the sky was putting up a show for me. The yellow desert grass was lit up by the evening sun, and created a perfect rainbow under that rain storm on the horizon. It was a spectacular evening that day.

Swiss Flow

While studying abroad in Florence, Italy, I took this photo during my fall-break in Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. Lauterbrunnen and the surrounding small towns are some of the most beautiful places I've seen in my life; as a photographer, the amount of spots like this for amazing photos were overwhelming.
