This is the Mural Room in the Santa Barbara Courthouse. It was built in the early part of the 20th century following the earthquake that rocked parts of the West Coast. The setting is used for many weddings and is viewed by thousands each year.

The photograph is a long exposure of around 30 seconds but is not an HDR composite. Some fairly elementary changes in color and tonality were added.

I was staying in Bodega Bay when I took this photo; and you just never know when the fog will lift, but sometimes when it does it's beautiful! It was pretty windy and cold but nonetheless beautiful! It's a little dark to the right in my opinion but the dark contrasts well with the vibrant sunset colors.

A little blue sky coupled with the full moon goes a long ways in creating an ethereal feel as the San Francisco skyline looms in the distance.

I took this photo on a recent road trip across the United States. I was trying to reach the bridge before sundown but ended up arriving after dark. The full moon made for some interesting lighting.

This photo was taken at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes in the Death Valley National Park - a great sandbox for all the tourists that come here. Nevertheless, at the the end of the day, all that's left of them are their footprints in the sand. So I enjoyed the wonderful colors of the sunset on my own :) By the way, all you can hear in a sand desert is your own breath and the pulse in your ear - very interesting effect...
