This shot was taken from the island village of Oia, Greece. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to and is worth the trip for anyone who loves nature and photography. This is the view from the famous sunset point.

I stayed over the night on the Hirschberg near Bad Hindelang, Bavaria, Germany. At midnight when I arrived but the sky was full of clouds. However, at the moment I woke up (at 3 a.m.) it was completely clear. It was cold so I couldn't sleep. Finally it was absolutely worth it to stay there :) I want to dedicate this to my friend Melli :) I hope you like it!

Here is a shot after sunset and after the first snow in Switzerland. Even if the Sun has been gone for a while now, there is still plenty to see out there on the white snowy fields in the freezing nights we are having in Switzerland at the moment. I hope that this shot gives back this feeling.

Nikon D700, Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f/4G ED VR, Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod and remote trigger. Post-processed in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.3.

This shot was taken in Bensingersiel at the North Sea a few minutes before sunrise. Except for graduation curves, I didn't have to add any saturation. The colors were amazingly strong. The sky and foreground were taken from two separate shots, because I didn't have an ND-Grad filter with me and the difference in brightness was even too strong for RAW-editing.

Taken in Half Moon Bay, California. I used a series of cheap ND and Graduated ND filters which gave the scene a magenta hue. After correcting the colors in Photoshop, I realized I liked it better the way it was.

Taken above Lake Garda near Tremosine, Italy. It was a very clear day after it rained, so all the dust in the air was gone. Because it was so clear the Milky Way galaxy was visible. On all the other days of my vacation it wasn't possible to see it. I hope you like it!
