Does HDR involve multiple images using different exposures? If so, would it be possible to see the images used in generating this HDR? Could you briefly explain the process for us and the settings used?
Great Picture!

@KilJaeden Take a look at the description at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hdr
Strictly speaking the technique seen in the photograph is not true HDR, although that is the term commonly used for it never the less.

Guav don't advertise your own work on another's comment section. It's rude...
On another note, great photo. What kind of post processing did you do?

Thanks everyone for the comments! I really appreciate the feedback!
This is a HDR image made with 3 pictures with different exposures. I use a 3 steps process. First I merge the images in a software called Photomatix, then I get the new image and manually (by manually I mean the eraser tool) merge it with the corrected exposure image (from the three initial pictures), then the last step is to apply different blend modes in photoshop such as overlay, or softlight. More to come!

Suberb!
Ive allowed myself to change it to B+W, lit up the lights a bit + some nice drawing effect thingy in gimp... and voila! NYC is Sin City ;)
This photo is among my top ten from interfacelift.
Keep up the good work.

"New York City by Paulo Barcellos Jr." has been so brilliantly snaped that it looks like a painting. I remained stunned for a while, amazed. Exceptional, I'd almost hesitate to expose it on a desktop, it deserves a gallery.

It's beautiful, I love it. But what is the big, square box in the right bottom corner? It's very obvious and distracts the eye from the beauty of the rest of the shot.

I saw this while browsing the site my girlfiend's new wallpaper. Even in the thumb I knew that I was going to have this set as my background for a long time. Thank you!

the box in the bottom right is a building in the foreground, not some random cutout section..

This is one of the best cityscape style shot's i've seen. It has a surreal almost sci fi edge and the level of detail captured is sublime.
Please do some more....

Love the picture but the name is wrong. This is looking east down 45th St. 9th isn't even visible. The cross Ave is 8th.
