Unbelievable shot! Seriously, one of the best I've seen. What camera and lens if I can ask, and any post-processing work?

Thanks! I used a Canon 5D with a 24-105mm f/4L lens stopped down to f/22. This is actually a panoramic composite of about 9 or 10 vertical images from right to left. As far as post processing, there wasn't much, just some sharpening and a gradient to get the color.

SHIT. This is one of the MOST AMAZING Pictures I have seen. And trust me I really love city/landscape pictures. I like the fact that it's not too dark, but still very calm and peaceful :)
NICE work

That is FANtastic. I have your other two Chicago wallpapers as well, and this one is the best.
As a Chicagoan (I go to Columbia College Chicago and live in the South Loop), this is an absolutely gem of a wallpaper to me.
I look forward to more Chicago cityscape photos from you!

An absolutely stunning shot! I've been an InterfaceLift'er for a long time, looking for cityscape shots for my desktop. This is by far the best I've seen. The colour is just right, and it looks like something out of a high budget James Cameroon film. Great job!

Nice shot, did you use canon's stitcher or something else? I'm hoping to pick up a 24-105L next week. Was looking at the 24-70L but I would rather have IS and carry a pound less.
Great shot.

Actually I used photoshop CS3 for the stitching. CS2 had a similar function but it didn't work nearly as well as the newest release.

I don't usually like cityscapes,
but the color palette of this one is amazing. I was able to match up a complimentary xp theme and it all looks great.
thanks

This is a great panorama. I just tried the layer alignment and blending features on CS3 with 3 of my images and it says I don't have enough memory (3.2gb). What kind of hardware are you running on?

Vista is unfortunatly a fat bloated monster. 1.2gb of vista only leaves 2gb for work. I don't want to go x64 because of potential problems. But 8gb sure would be nice.

I have downloaded tons of WPs from here and I haven't commented on any, this one however, my goodness. I had my linux desktop lookin sharp for 2 months without seeing the need for any change, but this WP just smacked me around. Unbelievable man, this really looks like futuristic film poster/teaser or something, it's fantastic. If you haven't already, you need to enter this sucker into any contests for wallpapers/imagery, you've got a gem right here. Thank you so much for sharing friend!!

I have to say that this is one of the best wallpapers I have seen on interfacelift. I have been looking over wallpapers for about a year and this is my favorite. Keep up the good work. this is a fantastic shot.

This has been my desktop ever since I got my sweet new computer. I've tried finding ones to replace it but I just can't let go of this one.

Whoa.. Talk about way awesome. I would have liked to have seen a bit more contrast in the sky, but this probably works better desktop-wise.
I would've guessed it was shot from a helicopter or something.
Good work!
