It's a good photo but it seems very harsh and would be hard for me to enjoy it as a desktop background.

I disagree. I find the contrast of deep indigo (is that indigo?) with green rather pleasing and sooth on the eyes.

Looking at this actually makes me feel sick. Sorry if you waited for all heavenly bodies to align to capture this shot.

I think this was a fairly nice attempt but I don't think it was pulled off as well as it could have been. I don't like the exaggerated color of the sky (as well as the ground). It's a bit too harsh as was mentioned earlier. I think with a bit of tweaking it might be quite nice.

Incase anyone is interested this is a a photo looking up at Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park (Edinburgh's dead volcano)
Nice image although the sky is a little dark and i think the whole image is just a little to contrasty, you can really see this on the gorse bushes to the left, the grass looks a little burnt out with that intensity of green

personally i like the exaggerated colors and the deep contrast and boosted blacks, it sits quite nicely on my black macbook background for now...

thanks for all comments...first of all sorry for my english-it's not to good...maybe most of all are right about to much contrast and unreal colors...but I made this wallpaper to fit it to my black macbook and the result is actually what I want to achieve

I like the colors but the hard line where the sky meets the hills ruins it for me. It looks like the sky was photoshopped in or selected and processed differently then the rest of the image.

Excellent image! Thanks. I appreciate colors in both of your wallpapers. Please make more pictures with such sky coloring. Composition is good. I use this image in My Pictures Slide Show screen saver in WinXP and it's good along with other pictures going by. By itself it might be too dramatic.
